Biography

This is Darshana Pramod Nissanka. He is 17 years old. His mother's name is Indra Nandani Nissanka. She's a house wife. Father's name is Saman Priyadarshi Nissanka. He's is an AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN. He has a brother. His name is Sithum Chathuranga Nissanka. His music life began in his childhood. His father paved him the way to the success of his life. He saw Promod's talents from the beginning. His father always enjoys classical music. So He also began to love music without any force from others.



Darshana Pramod Says;

"My first SLBC program was “Tikiri Lama Hamuwa” produce by Mrs. Hasitha Gunarathne. Mr. Lalith Wimaladasa helped me to participate this program. Mr. Gamini Gunasekara who is a violin player in SLBC orchestra saw my talents and he introduced me to Mr. Mahinda Algama who was the head of “Sinhala Division of SLBC. I was so appreciated by him because of my talents. I sang a song in his radio program “Samanala Landa”. It was very lucky to participate to a live TV program “ Behei Kiyala Behe” with Mr. Mahinda Algama. It was the first live program I participated to. “Heta Pipena Mal”, “Daham Suwandai Denenne”, “Miyesi Gee Sara”, “ Tharu Dawasa” are some of the programs that I participated. My first TV program was “Punchi Panchi” telecasted on Sirasa TV. In SLBC I participated to many musical and dramatical programs. 24 th of July in 2005 is memorable day for me. My first round of “Sirasa Super Star” was held on that day in hotel “Trans Asia”. There I sang Pandith Amaradeva's “Neela warala” song. The judgment was positive and I was selected for the next round. At Last 12 competitors were selected by people's voting. I'm the fourth one in this competition.

My first songs album was done in 2004 when I was 13 years. That was not been marketed . There was 11 songs in the album and all of them were for little children. My second cd ”Ahinsaka Hasarel” was launched after “Sirasa Super Star” competition and it was launched on 1 st of March 2007."
